Joy . . .

5:00 am: I read . . .

"He had witnessed Stephen's forbearance toward his enemies and his forgiveness of them. He had also witnessed the fortitude and cheerful resignation of many whom he had caused to be tormented and afflicted. He had seen some yield up even their lives with rejoicing for the sake of their faith."

All these things had appealed loudly to Saul and at times had thrust upon his mind an almost overwhelming conviction that Jesus was the promised Messiah." *

5:30 am: On Scripture Typer . . .

My sleepy fingers fumble around as I try to type out the verses I worked on yesterday. . .
Oh yes, joy--persistent joy. My face lights up again.
Next attempt--success!

1:00 pm: In the woods . . .

Trying to settle in for some quiet time, the mosquitoes buzz around me--and try to get some dinner. But there's too much to be thankful for. . . . A smile comes again.

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." -- 2 Corinthians 4:17

*Acts of the Apostles, p. 116

  1. Oh yes...
Love the "in the woods" part. :)

  2. Indeed there is so much to thank God for!! Thank you for these words of encouragement sister!!^_^ Whether the enemy sends attacks through man or mosquito, let us rejoice in the Lord always...!!^_^

  3. Neat photo! Did you take it? I've never spent much time using Scripture Typer, but have heard that some people find it quite helpful. I'm personally a big fan of memverse.com and have been using it for years. You should check it out.

And in case you were wondering, I just came across your blog by doing a bit of blog-suring. I just added myself as a follower and I hope you'll check out my Christian devotional blog as well.

    Have a blessed day!
