Not shaped by circumstance,
not moved my the greatest of dangers,
not lured by desire,
not influenced by the ideas of another,
not hindered by his own weakness. . .
– such a one is truly a Christian. Living a life of loyal, humble service from a heart of love to God and others. Not thinking of his own desires and dreams, but seeking to fulfill a greater purpose.
Oh, my Father, let me not be attracted to the things of this world, but rather count sacrifice and service, toil and hardship not as a burden, but as my greatest joy. Let your cross be all my glory. . .
